Cases created in care always begin with a profile. Follow the steps below to select and/or create a profile to create a new case:
STEP 1: Click Create New Case
From the Cases page click the green “Create New Case” button on the upper right hand corner of the screen.
STEP 2: Find a Profile
Search for an existing profile of the client by searching a minimum of one field and clicking search. Not all clients will have an existing profile, however, it is best practice to always check so as to reduce the creation of duplicate client profiles. If your client does not have a profile jump to step 4.
STEP 3: Select a Profile
If a profile does exist for the new case you are creating simply click “Select” next to the suggested profile that matches your clients information.
Note: Check the data
Ensure that all data is the same when selecting an existing profile; especially when searching by common name(s). It is recommended to search a minimum of three fields to ensure accurate matches.
STEP 4: Create a Profile
If a profile does not exist for the new case you are creating, simply click “Create New Profile” from the select a profile screen. You may answer all or none of the PII fields to create a profile. By including none, you have created an anonymous profile
Note: Confirm consent
You must always receive consent from the client to create a profile in Caresuite. Whether its written or verbal, is determined by your organization. Profiles, unlike cases, are searchable by all users within your organization.
